Kenya Trade Mission, NBCC/IMF Project

1. Kenya Trade Mission:  The Kenya Trade Mission will be during February 5 – 12, 2005.  We are seeking 20 business owners who want to joint venture with members of the Kenya Chamber of Commerce (like the Christine’s Coffee® venture).  We will be matchmaking these business owners with local entrepreneurs as well as visiting the Kenya Minister of Trade, US Ambassador, agri-business principals and other key officials.  We will also have a journey to the famous Kenya “outback” to visit a few lions, rhinos, Massai warriors, etc.  Registration for the trip is $500 non-refundable.  Registrants will buy their own tickets which will cost approximately $1200 roundtrip.  We are recommending the Nairobi Hilton which has rates from $84 to $160 per night.  Once one has officially registered the National Office will guide them through the process.  Hurry, we only want 20 participants and it will be first come, first served. Those wishing to register should contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

2. “Building Wealth Tour” is hot!  We have already reached one third of our capacity for the first three “Building Wealth Tour” seminars.  You should register now before we have to cut off the registrations for these venues – D.C. (Dec. 1), Chicago (Dec. 3) and Los Angeles (Dec.10).  There is no fee and food will be served.  Please visit buildingwealthtour.com to learn more of what these events are about and how to register.  See you there!

3. NBCC/IMF Project: We were honored to have the presence of Damian Ondo Mane, Executive Director, Francophone Nations of Africa, for the International Monetary Fund (IMF).  A copy of his presentation can be downloaded from our website (here).  Since that time we have begun a project for fostering small business infrastructures in rural African communities.  Our model will be based in Equatorial Guinea.  Our concept paper is due in January, 2005, and our feasibility study should be complete shortly thereafter.  Implementation will begin by mid-year 2005.  NBCC Board Member Anthony Robinson will chair this committee known as the “Africa Now Committee”.  We are excited about working with the very talented Executive Director and the establishment known as the IMF.  Africa is starting to get much better!

4. Marriott Diversity Project:  We have been reviewing the S.O.W.’s and portfolios of those wishing to compete for work within the Marriott Hotels system.  This is the last call for those of you who want to be included.  Send your literature to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. 5. Website Referral Program:  We are developing a tracking component to our coffee website, www.christinescoffee.com, to be offered to all URL owners.  Any website linking www.christinescoffee.com and causing consumers to make website purchases of Christine’s Coffee® will earn 20% of registered sales.  Commissions will be sent out weekly.  Those of you who are interested in networking Christine’s Coffee® and making money while you do should contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  We want to thank those of you who have initially supported our new product.  We ran out of inventory in the first two days of shipping!!  The first entity in the nation to receive Christine’s Coffee® was the Metropolitan Trenton African American Chamber of Commerce (MTAACC).  Congratulations to John Harmon and his great crew for aggressively taking advantage of this unique opportunity.  Have you ordered yours yet?

6. Free Website Program: The NBCC has become a distributor of websites.  We can assist any entity (especially a chamber or emerging business) in constructing and operating a viable, state of the art, website.  There will be no fee for any phase of this site other than the “hosting” which is simply $29.95 per month.  This is the best deal in the world as far as we know.  For more info contact, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. 7. Opportunity with New A.G.:  The NBCC will aggressively support the nomination of the Honorable Alberto Gonzales as US Attorney General.  Nominee Gonzales has a solid track record in supporting the US Constitution and is very adept in the enforcement of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.  It was Title VI that drove the federal programs of the 1980’s.  It was the suppression of Title VI that diminished many of those federal programs during the 1990’s.  We see a return of greater opportunity under the leadership of Nominee Gonzales.  We encourage all small business owners to be active in ensuring a smooth and overwhelming confirmation for this great American.  We thank President Bush for once again making an historical move in the selection process of his Cabinet.

8. Out-Sourcing Inc.!  There are certain industries such as Textiles, Call Centers, Data Processing, etc. that will be done outside of the United States.  It is a great opportunity for us to develop these industries with our contacts and partners in Africa and the Caribbean.  The fact is they are gone but they do not have to fiscally leave us.  You will see the NBCC match US entrepreneurs with their counterparts in Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, Jamaica and other key venues within the federation of the NBCC.  Now is not the time to get shocked but to think and move prudently.  The profits, as well as job creation, can be enormous.  We will also be equally aggressive about “In –Sourcing” as it, too, evolves in this exciting global market.

9. Lord Abbett Partnership:  Many of you have been asking about our recent partnership with Lord Abbett.  They are our financial and investment advisors.  For more information about them you can personally meet them at our “Building Wealth Tour” seminars or just click (here).
