1.  Working with Zambia: We were delighted to work with a Trade Mission from Zambia.  Included in the delegation were Honorable Robert K. Sichinga, M.P. Minister of Commerce; Greg Marchand, President, American Chamber of Commerce in Zambia; Stephen Mwansa, PS of Commerce, Trade and Industry; Yvonne Chileshe, Chief Economist, Ministry of Commerce and Sheila Siwela, Zambian Ambassador to the US.  We thank Congressman Bobby Rush for sharing some of his valuable time with us.

2.  FCC Supplier Diversity Conference: The FCC’s Office of Communications Business Opportunities will host a Supplier Diversity Conference and Workshop focused on government and private sector business opportunities for small, minority and women-owned businesses.  This important event will be held at FCC Headquarters, 445 12^th Street, Washington, DC on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 from 9:00AM until 4:30PM in the Commission Meeting Room.  Among the companies being represented are: Sprint, FCC, Microsoft, Comcast, Verizon and AT&T.  RSVP’s are due by July 2, 2012 via email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. 3.  New Board of Advisors: We are honored and happy to now participate on the Unity Movement Board of Advisors.  “The Unity Movement is headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Our mission is to uplift the Black community by uniting, educating and economically empowering Black people nationwide.”

4.  Our Newest Member: We warmly welcome our newest member to the NBCC Federation.  The Delft Chamber of Business Trust has just formed in Western Cape, South Africa.  Black Chambers within the African Diaspora continue to populate and prosper.

5. NBCC Board Meeting: The next Board of Directors meeting will be held during our upcoming convention. It will convene on July 19 during 4:30PM – 5:30PM at the Four Seasons Hotel in Atlanta.
