THANKS TO ALL OF YOU!

We just completed our greatest annual conference ever.  The participation, faith and loyalty of all who were there made this event happen.  300 hundred entrepreneurs in beautiful downtown Miami was the event of the town.  So much so that locals who participated are now forming a local chapter of the NBCC.

Special thanks go to Florida Lieutenant Governor Jennifer Carroll who mesmerized the audience with her apparent knowledge of the business issues and her track record of promoting Black business development.  Keynote speaker Wayne Huizenga, Jr. motivated the large crew with the tales of his ups and downs – mostly ups.  Surprise guest Herman Cain was frosting on the cake!

The panels:  Energy, Telecom, Regulation, Education, Procurement, Doing Business with Comcast NBC Universal, Managing Your Business and Wealth, Doing Business in Florida, Minority Business Opportunities at the Upcoming RNC Convention, HUD, SBA, HHS and Other Agencies of the Federal Government, Business in Kenya, Botswana, Republic of the Congo and Belize and Chamber Affinity Programs were seriously informative.  The one-on-one sessions with principals and entrepreneurs were very helpful and demand productive follow up.  Of course, the evening receptions were tremendous networking opportunities.  Hats off to our Annual Awards Recipients who were so proud: John Boyd, John F. Biagas, Congressman Alcee Hastings, Michael Sutton, Pastor Walter August (Bethel Church Black Chamber of Commerce), Earle Jones (Comcast) and Lt. Gov. Jennifer Carroll.

Everyone is happy and everyone feels empowered (especially the Southwest Airlines Ticket winners).  The National Office will follow up on the subject matters and implement success throughout the next twelve months.  After a year’s worth of progress we will assemble again for our 20th Annual Conference in Lovely Atlanta (again at the Four Seasons Hotel).
