“MAKING THE WORLD BUSINESS FRIENDLY”
That is our intention – to make the entire world business friendly through good policy and limited but wise regulation. The freer the trade; the bigger the possibilities will be for our businesses. It is time for our constituents to build wealth and create a legacy for our heirs to build on. We are starting late but we can overcome the past and ensure a bright future. Success is assured by that great American innovation – FREE ENTERPRISE. We will work through this theme during our 19th Annual Convention at the Four Seasons Hotel, Miami, FL during July 21 – 23, 2011. We will thoroughly discuss best practices in Procurement (private and public), better regulation in Energy, the Environment, Telecommunications (technology), Education, Healthcare and Banking. Learn about good chamber management (including fundraising) from those who run the best chambers in the nation (Tennessee, Illinois, New Jersey, New Orleans). Networking is a valuable tool. Come and network with the members of the largest Black business association in the world – THE NBCC. Social networking is the latest trend; learn how to jump into the middle of it via instructions from the experts. Our Church Chamber of Commerce program is off and running and we encourage church officials to meet our Church Chamber Committee and learn how to economically empower your congregation via entrepreneurship. It is a great initiative! Learn about our trade missions to Africa plus hear from representatives of Ghana, Kenya, Ethiopia, South Africa, Columbia, Brazil and other nations. The global market has arrived and those entering sooner rather than later will profit the most. We will have a strong line up of great speakers from the public and private sectors. Also, our annual awards presentation will be something special this year. Who will be Chamber of the Year? Entrepreneur of the Year? State Chamber of the Year? Who will win the Parren J. Mitchell Award? Who will be named “Partner of the Year”? Who will win the Arthur A. Fletcher Lifetime Achievement Award? How about the Innovator of the Year Award? As usual it will be sponsored up. The room rate at the 5 star Four Seasons is only $150 per night. You will live in “tall cotton” at a very affordable rate. Besides that, Miami is one of the greatest venues in the world. So circle the dates and plan on partaking. Last year, we had our greatest convention ever at the Houston Four Seasons. This year, we aim to top that. Be a part of history and your business will gain from it.
