Upon receiving the recent eBlasts, I am excited about the progress of your efforts regarding Title VI, Section 3, the Stimulus money, and California. 

 I am retired from the City of Los Angeles where I was the EEO and Affirmative Action Administrator in the Department of Public Works for a number of years. It was a struggle having to advocate within the constraints of government, but some gains were made. I had minimal success through my role as an officer of the state and local NAACP in bringing CalTrans to the table to respond to complaints and agree to letting additional contracts to minority contractors on the $2 billion Alameda Corridor Project in Los Angeles County. 

I am ecstatic and reinvigorated by the efforts of NBCC and its affiliates and am looking forward to San Diego.
