The year 2011 is winding down. It has been a very exciting and productive year. In fact, it was the best year yet for the NBCC. 2012 promises to be even better. We change Chairs next month as Arnold Baker turns the mantle over to Larry Ivory.
In January we will launch our sister organization the PanAfrican Entrepreneurs Conference, Inc. Here we will provide linkage and policy for every entrepreneur of African descent in the world. From Asia to Europe to Polynesia to South America and of course North America and Africa, we will become the medium of conversation, networking and opportunity, i.e. worldwide business development. The first Annual Conference will be in Houston, Texas November 15 – 18, 2012.
In May, we will join forces with the church community, minority bankers and housing activists. Our summit, “Vision 2020: Choosing to Opt Out of the Recession” will provide great discussion and conclude with a plan for our community to work together to economically empower ourselves. We meet May 18, 2012 in Washington, DC. Stand by for details.
During July 19 - 21, 2012 we will host our 20th Annual Convention in Atlanta, GA. It promises to be our biggest and most comprehensive yet. Please save the date for this one.
There will be trade missions to African nations and the Caribbean throughout the year as we connect with our counterparts. You will be given three months notice as the opportunities unfold.
Stay with us as we change the world. 2012 promises to be the greatest year in history for the entrepreneur. Enjoy the holidays (Christmas, Hanukkah and New Years)with your family. God bless and we will talk again after the first of the year.
