1. Doing Business with Kenya: There will be a summit, targeting architects and engineers, on the business opportunities in Kenya. Kenya will be spending $5 billion per year for the next five years on infrastructure, housing and sustainable energy. This will create a great demand and they welcome African American firms. Passing of Mrs. Jordan: Catherine Lena Frederick Jordan, mother of NBCC Board Member Fred Jordan, passed away on September 5, 2011. Funeral services will be held today, September 12 in Chillum, MD.
