Resulting from an executed MOU with the Surety & Fidelity Association of America, the City of New Orleans and the Greater New Orleans Regional Black Chamber of Commerce, a formal and progressive Bonding Program designed to improve the capacity of local small contractors will begin in New Orleans on July 26 through September 27. The milestones follow: July 26, 2007: The Official Kick-Off August 2: Course #1 – Business Planning and Management for Construction August 9: Course #2 – Construction Accounting and Financial Management August 16: Course #3 – Banking and Financing for Contractors August 23: Course #4 – Bonding and Insurance for New and Emerging Contractors August 30: Course #5 – Marketing, Estimating and Bidding September 6: Course #6 – Project Management and Field Operations September 13: Course #7 – Claims and Dispute Resolution September 20: Course #8 – Success Stories September 27: Course #9 – Graduation and Certificates If you are a small business construction company located in the Greater New Orleans area and are looking for opportunities to improve your bondability, please fill out the below registration.
